Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small item of information stored by your browser. Session cookies generally last for a browsing session; persistent cookies remain until their expiry or until you delete them. Similar storage can support preferences or website functions. A third-party connection can also share technical information even when it does not set a cookie.

WordPress and our enquiry forms use technical functions to display pages and process requests. WordPress authentication or test cookies may be used when an authorised user visits the login area; they are not a requirement to send an ordinary booking enquiry.

Wordfence protects the website and may use security cookies for recognised logged-in users or other enabled security features. An example is a cookie beginning wfwaf-authcookie-, which helps its firewall recognise an authenticated user. Cookie use depends on the feature and user interaction. Security logs can contain technical information independently of cookies.

Our contact and booking forms load Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish genuine visitors from automated abuse. It processes browser, network and challenge-related signals for that security purpose. This is separate from the contact details and message you submit to Clarens Xtreme.

Turnstile is a security service, not an advertising subscription. Any associated browser storage or clearance cookie depends on the security configuration. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for provider information.

The contact page contains an embedded Google map. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Google may use its own cookies or similar technologies depending on its service and your browser or account settings.

The map currently loads as part of the contact page; it is not presented behind an on-site consent switch. If you prefer not to load Google content, you can block that content in your browser or use our telephone and email details without opening the map page. The services described above support website operation, form security and location information. If optional analytics or advertising services are added, this policy must be updated and any legally required consent obtained before those services are enabled.

Links to social platforms or other websites take you to services with their own privacy and cookie practices. Visiting a linked provider is different from submitting an enquiry to Clarens Xtreme.

You can inspect, block or delete cookies and site storage through your browser’s privacy settings. Most browsers also offer controls for third-party cookies and embedded content. Blocking essential security or form functions may prevent a form from working; you can still contact us by email or telephone.

There is currently no on-site cookie preference panel. This information page does not itself block scripts or change browser settings. Where consent is required for an optional processing purpose, a general notice or your continued browsing is not a substitute for that choice.

The exact cookies, storage items and lifetimes depend on the feature used, login state and provider configuration. Your browser’s site-data view shows what has actually been stored for your visit. We do not represent that every visitor receives the same cookies.

Google and Cloudflare may process information outside South Africa. The POPIA safeguards for international transfers and your rights are explained in our Privacy Policy.
